🥕🥬 Learning Through Role Play – Vegetable Vendor Activity 🥦🍅
At Hello Kids Flamingo Preschool & Daycare, we believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences. Our Vegetable Vendor Role Play Activity provided an exciting opportunity for our little learners to explore the world of fruits and vegetables in a fun, interactive, and engaging way.
During the activity, the classroom was transformed into a lively vegetable market where children identified different vegetables, learned their names, colours, shapes, and nutritional benefits, and experienced how buying and selling takes place in a real marketplace. Guided by our teachers, the children confidently participated as vegetable vendors and customers, enhancing their communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
This experiential learning activity encouraged children to ask questions, make choices, recognize healthy foods, and understand the importance of including fresh vegetables in their daily diet. Through role play, they also developed confidence, teamwork, vocabulary, and basic mathematical concepts such as counting and exchanging items.
